lunch was chicken salad on walnut bread with mache

dinner (small portions of each):
leftover fresh pasta with honeyed leeks, asparagus and fava beans in a white wine sauce
piece of corn with butter
leftover fried artichokes with asparagus pesto dipping sauce

blackberries with whipped cream

saturday

brunch at slow club:
my favorite turkey sausage hash with apples, carrots, poached eggs and a biscuit
grapefruit juice
earl grey tea with honey

made dinner for friends:
fritto misto of fresh mozzerella, artichokes and zucchini with an arrabiatta sipping sauce
fresh spinach and black pepper tagliatelle with asparagus "pesto," asparagus and fava beans
chicken under a brick with honeyed leeks
a brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce

yesterday

no breakfast :(

business lunch at the mission beach cafe. I had a curried chicken salad with almonds and grapes on greens, with half of a slice of bread. Two glasses of ice tea with splenda and a cappuccino (with splenda). (too much caffeine for me, I was up til 4am)

went to the rooftop bar at medjool for a going away party--had 3 mojitos, and snacked on the sampler platter (baba ghanoush, hummus, tabouli and pita points), lebna (creamy cheesy spread) with toasted pita ribbons, and mixed skewers.

later had half of a croissant with melted cheese as a midnight snack

dinner on tuesday

We needed a quick meal after seeing jaimey speak on neorealist films at the italian institute, and before going to see black book at the embrcadero, so we went to fuzio in the embarcadero.

I had tune with mango salsa, which came with broccoli rabe and some sort of asian noodles. the noodles and the broccoli were good, but the tuna was very tough, and practically inedible.

Lesson learned: get the pasta at a chain pasta place, that is what they are good at.
